A poster format will be used to display presentations by students, faculty/staff, alumni, and student/faculty collaborative projects. Any academic project can lend itself well to a poster format display. All disciplines are invited to participate. Please bring the event to the attention of your students and faculty colleagues and reinforce the advantages of participating in such a forum. All participants must complete the online Project Description Form. Portions of the information provided will be included in the Showcase Publication. Faculty, staff, and students interested in submitting copies and references of recent publications (books, articles, etc.) performance pieces, and exhibits may submit information on the Publication Form for inclusion in the Showcase Publication. The completed form must be submitted online by Wednesday, March 26, 2008. Forms will not be accepted after the deadline. Every student project requires a faculty advisor. Consultation with a faculty advisor will be needed as questions arise during the preparation of the poster material. Students may also need assistance in identifying the most salient features of the project, and guidance in organizing the visual presentation. The Project Description and Entry Form, Suggested Guidelines for Poster Presentations, How to Write an Abstract, and Faculty/Staff Publication Form are available on our website. Poster Boards and other supplies may be obtained from the Library Building, Basement room B-021 and the Faculty Multimedia Resource Center (Pratt 321). The average poster size is 30 inches by 40 inches. Table and floor easels will be available in limited quantities to support the poster boards. If you are submitting a group presentation, please only enter one application form. Each individual or group submission will be assigned a numbered location in the presentation area, the Arnold & Marie Schwartz Athletic Center .
Presentations: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Invitations to the event will be extended to the University Community: all Brooklyn Campus Students, Faculty, Alumni, Administration, Staff and local community. Participants are encouraged to extend invitations to professional colleagues, family members, and friends. Please join us to share information and celebrate the diverse academic accomplishments of members of the Brooklyn Campus community. |
